Good Things Festival (GTF) in Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane is a licensed event for a mature audience 16+.
All patrons aged under 18 are required to provide Photo ID to enter the venue and provide information on the emergency contact details for a parent or guardian when purchasing a ticket
The accepted forms of photo Identification are as follows:
Patrons aged 16 and 17 will be permitted to attend independently, provided they present valid photo identification.
Alcohol service will remain strictly restricted to patrons aged 18 and over, with licenced areas controlled through age verification and secure wristbanding.
Minor patrons will be excluded from all bar zones. Their safety will be supported through clearly identifiable wristbands, staffed minor welfare posts, and active RSA monitoring to ensure compliance with State specific liquor and child safety regulations.
Any minor caught consuming alcohol will be handed to the Police.
The event has the capacity to be very loud, have high intensity crowd movements, bands that may use profanities in their performance and patrons drinking alcohol. Patrons under the age of 16 will not be admitted as GTF cannot guarantee the health and safety of small children.
You must have present valid Photo ID to enter. All patrons must have a valid ticket and it is an offence to enter the venue without a ticket.
Photo ID is required to purchase alcohol regardless of your age. It is illegal to provide minors with alcohol and anyone caught doing so may be prosecuted and ejected from the event.
Some of the artists appearing at Good Things may use lyrics, language or gestures whilst entertaining that some people may find offensive. If such language or behaviour concerns you, please do not attend. If you believe such language or behaviour is unsuitable for minors, please do not allow them to attend.
Remember to bring photo ID, your ticket, important phone numbers, sun block, any medication you may need, a hat and charged mobile phone. If you have any chronic conditions or illness (ie. asthma, diabetes, epilepsy) be sure to carry information regarding your condition & emergency contact number on you at all times. If you require prescription medication during the festival, please ensure you carry a copy of your prescription, keep the medication in its prescribed packaging, and only bring in the amount you require during your time at Good Things Festival.
Allow enough time to get to & into the show. It can take some time to get through the gates & security checks depending on the time of day so please be patient.
Make sure you dress in accordance with the weather forecast, wear sensible shoes & clothes.
We have been told to expect the constabulary and canine associates to make one of their customary festival appearances. You may be sniffed at inside and outside the show and even at car parks or public transport hubs. Possession and/or consumption of illegal substances will not be allowed.
Any patron found to be unduly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs on arrival or within the venue will be referred to police or security as the case may be.
A small bag (No more than A4 size) or backpack is allowed but remember that it must be searched and take longer to enter the event & if you want to cloak it in, it will add more queues and cost to your experience.
Check the ticket conditions for prohibited items such as Video cameras, alcohol & umbrellas. No spike collars, studded belts etc will be permitted .
Make sure you pace yourself, drink plenty of water, eat some food that will give you some energy & be sure to get rest, when you can, to maximise your enjoyment on the day.
You are permitted to bring 1 empty water bottle and a reasonable amount of food like sandwiches to the show. However, please do remember that we’re most likely in for a long day and food can spoil. There will be free water stations located within the event site to refill your empty bottles once inside.
Whether it’s entering, leaving or in the festival you will be required to abide by any reasonable request or command from event security. Remember that they are there to keep the entire festival safe.
If you need help or see someone needing help please notify security straight away. At each event there will be a dedicated text line to report any anti social behaviour

Good Things will not accept violence in any form and any incident of harassment and violence will result in immediate removal from the site.

Good Things Festival takes reports of sexual and/or gender based assault, and harassment at events very seriously and this is supported by comprehensive policies, procedures, and staff education and training.

We treat all reports of sexual assault, gender-based assault, and harassment with the utmost seriousness. Our response protocols prioritise survivor support while ensuring appropriate action is taken. Emergency Chat Feature
The Good Things app includes an emergency chat function that connects you directly to our event team. Use this feature if you experience any antisocial behavior or feel unsafe during the festival. The chat operates through a secure, closed Wi-Fi network dedicated exclusively to emergency communications.
Emergency Alert System
Our emergency feature includes a strobe alert button that activates your phone's flashlight and vibration to alert nearby staff and security personnel in case of an emergency. This ensures rapid response when you need immediate assistance.
Safe Space
We provide a dedicated Safe Space located near the First Aid area where patrons can report incidents in a confidential and supportive environment. Our trained staff are available to assist you with any concerns or incidents that occur during the festival with the utmost respect and privacy
Crowd surfing, moshing & circle dancing are dangerous activities & will not be tolerated. Offenders will either be banned from the area or possibly removed from the site.
Security staff are entitled to search; pat down or metal detect any patron upon entry. Any person not compliant will be refused entry or removed from the event without refund.
Access to the event is prohibited or refused to people who:
Only authorised and fully accredited media approved by the Marketing and Publicity departments are permitted at the Good Things Festival.
Any media or persons found to be carrying media equipment (microphones, recording devices, camera etc) or deliberately deceiving staff will be removed and banned from GTF for an indefinite period.
If you are evicted from the event, you will not be allowed re-entry and your ticket will not be refunded.
Under extreme & unlikely circumstances; a building, area or the entire site may be required to be evacuated or cleared. It will be imperative for you to follow all instructions & directions from emergency services, police, fire brigade and/or the security that would be requested of you in such a situation. Remember these people are only there to help, so please pay attention and take note of emergency exits on our patron map (coming soon).
There will be First Aid located at or next to the Stages to treat people who are genuinely ill or have injured themselves on the day. Try to minimise your demands on them if it does not relate to real issues as they have a very long and demanding day. More than 50% of all First Aid Calls are related to cut feet and sunburn – please wear shoes and bring sunblock.
No professional photography equipment is permitted however point and click cameras and mobile phones are fine. No recording devices of any kind will be permitted
There will be free water stations located around the site. Please ask security or consult the site map.

GTF will be an accessible friendly event as much as we can possibly make it. There will be accessible viewing areas where possible at each stage area. Disabled toilets are available around the site. We suggest that you are accompanied by a friend as with all major events navigating through the crowds can be difficult. As long as you plan your day and leave a bit of extra time to move between stages there is absolutely no reason why you should not have a great day and be able to see the bands you love. We understand that some people have a need for a full time carer. GTF will allow a valid ticket holder one free entry ticket for their legitimate carer.
Upon presentation of a Companion Card, ticket purchasers are entitled to an additional ticket for their respective carer.
The Companion Card must be presented alongside the issued ticket to gain entry to the event.
Dedicated entry lanes at both entry gates will be available to those in possession of a Disability Card or Companion Card.
Guide Dogs are permitted on festival grounds to valid Disability Card or Companion Card holders

GTF believes we are all equal. There will be no discounted tickets for pensioners or members of the venue association etc.
The venue may be subject to state public smoking law enforced by state health authorities. If so, Designated smoking areas will be available for patrons to smoke. Please don’t smoke in or around the venue except in designated areas.
The local Council has laws to discourage people from littering on the street. Note that previous events have had council inspectors issuing on the spot fines to patrons who are outside the venue on the way in. This includes drink containers and smoking butts.
There are STRICTLY NO PASS OUTS (Exit and Re-entry) for this event. Last entry to the event is 21:00
There will be a cloak room on site to check in your bags however it will cost you to take the bag in and out again each time.
There are also lockers available at the event.
Bsafe mobile lockers are available for purchase pre-event and are flat $25 for the duration of the event.
The locker dimensions are 450mm deep X 230mm high X 340mm wide.
Upon arrival at the festival simply attend the Bsafe Mobile Lockers post, provide your name and your locker and key will be provided to you at the marquee.
The key is yours to keep for the entire festival and to be returned at the end of the festival. Please note lost keys will incur a fee of $30 for replacement of the key.
Cloaking for Prohibited Items excluding illicit substances can be cloaked externally at the cloakroom located alongside the entry Gates the charge for prohibited cloaking items is $10 per item.
Good Things Festival will not take responsibility for cloaked items.

Upon purchase of a ticket you will be asked to abide by and accept both the Event Terms and Conditions and the Ticket Purchase Terms and Conditions. There is Parking available at the VRC VIP carpark, Broadcast carpark & Leonard Crescent carpark located on Leonard Crescent. and the fee is $30 per vehicle, patrons can then make a short walk to the event entry gate 01. Please refer to patron access plan
Patrons arriving via Ride share, Taxi tram, bus or on foot entering the site via Epsom Road gates will make a short walk to the event entry gate 02. Please refer to patron access plan
The best and most efficient way to get to and from the venue is via Train. Why Walk when you can myki.
Flemington Racecourse has its own internal train station that operates for selected events only.
Due to the high number of patrons expected at the Good Things event the station will be operational and extra trains will be running for both ingress and egress movements.
It is recommended that patrons with serious immobility conditions use the 1st carriage of each train to enable the driver to assist with wheelchair ramps on arrival.
During Ingress, trains depart Flinders Street Station from (Platform 10), stopping at Southern Cross Station (Platform 13/14) and North Melbourne Station (Platform 5/6) then express to Flemington Racecourse.
Trains depart Flinders Street Station every 10 minutes from 10:35am until 1:35pm and every 20 minutes from 1:35pm until 3:55pm.
No direct service to Flemington Railway Station will operate after 3:55pm service as peak hour service weekday services will kick in, Patrons wishing to travel via Train to Flemington after 3.55pm will need to take the Craigieburn line and depart the train at New Market Station and either walk or take the Tram # 57 “West Maribyrnong” from Tram stop #26 Newmarket Plaza/Racecourse Road and travel to Stop #30 Flemington Racecourse/Epsom Road.
During Egress, trains depart Flemington Racecourse Station (Platform 1) to Flinders Street Station between 8:00pm and 9:00pm every 20 minutes.
Trains depart Flemington Racecourse Station (Platform 1) to Flinders Street Station between 9:00pm and 10:00pm every 15 minutes.
Trains depart Flemington Racecourse Station (Platform 1 & 2) to Flinders Street Station between 10:00pm and 11:30pm every 5-6 minutes.
Trains will stop at North Melbourne Station (Platform 5), Southern Cross Station (Platform 13) then into Flinders Street Station (Platform 10).
MTM staff will have extra staff with on/off boarding ramps to assist the wheelchair patrons.
Please note the last service to depart Flemington Racecourse will be at 11.30pm.
Passengers can catch Route 57 West Maribyrnong tram from the corner of Elizabeth Street and Flinders Street in the Melbourne CBD to Flemington racecourse stop # 30
The West Maribyrnong tram services will run on a 7-8 minute frequency.
Please note, low-floor trams do not run on Route # 57 and it is therefore recommended passengers using a mobility aid should make alternate plans to travel to the racecourse.
Yarra Trams will be operating (2) B Class trams across the entire day 9:00am – midnight then an additional (2) B Class trams from 11:00am -2:00pm and then again between 7:00pm and midnight.
Buses can be caught via Route 472 bus from Williamstown, Footscray or Moonee Ponds to Fisher Parade and then must make the extremely long walk to the main gate entry on Epsom Road.
Buses can also be caught via Route 404 bus from Footscray or Moonee Ponds to Smithfield Road and then must make the shorter walk to the main gates on Epsom Road.
No additional bus services will operate. All services will run as per the normal weekday timetable.

The Good Things rideshare / taxi / public drop off/pick location will incorporate specific traffic treatments. Due to the anticipated high utilisation of rideshare, the designated vehicle drop off zone is to be located external to the event site on Epsom Road between the main and members gates.
The designated drop off point will be operational between the hours of 1100hrs and 1830hrs on event day.
The designated Pick-Up zone will be unavailable post event due to the closure of Epsom Road during the egress period. It is recommended passengers hoping to use rideshare either make their way to Racecourse Road to hail a rideshare vehicle or taxi or make alternate plans to travel home.
Patrons will be discouraged to drive to the event and instead encouraged to travel via public transport, however the event recognises that some patrons may wish to drive to the event. Limited parking will therefore be made available to patrons
Patrons can access the VRC VIP Carpark, Broadcast Carpark & Leonard Crescent Carpark via Leonard Crescent.
The Melbourne Showgrounds Carpark will also be operated as an overflow carpark as required.
The carpark will be staffed and operational between the hours of 0900 – 0000hrs on event day.
The parking fee is $25 per vehicle.
Patrons can then make the short walk via the Hills Gate into Flemington Racecourse towards Entry gate 01 in the members carpark.
Due to limited amount of parking available at the venue patrons are encouraged to park at surrounding rail stations and catch the train into Flemington Racecourse.

There are a number of competing events operating on Saturday 6 December and a high number of patrons are expected to be attending the event so it’s essential to plan your trip in advance and work out how you are getting to and from the Good Things Festival.
With frequent rail services and a number of regular bus routes the best way to get to and from Sydney Showground is via public transport.
Tickets to Good Things 2025 Festival at Sydney Showground includes travel on trains - just show your ticket to transport staff when boarding.
Note an additional; train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport Stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Increased traffic is expected in and around the Olympic Park on event due to competing events, therefore we recommend that you do not drive.
Patrons arriving via rail will enter the event site on foot through the Robertson Road Gate and will then make the journey through the parklands via Grand Drive to the event entry point within the Parade grounds. Please refer to patron access plan
Olympic Park train station is on Sydney Showground's doorstep. The Sprint service, operated by CityRail, travels between Lidcombe and Olympic Park Stations daily, every 10 minutes.

There are dedicated priority seating areas for wheelchairs, which include a blue push button with an accessible symbol on the button. When pushed, the button requests the attention of the driver to give you more time to alight for exiting if needed.
Sydney Buses operate direct bus services to Sydney Olympic Park from a number of locations including Lidcombe, Strathfield and Parramatta.

Sydney Ferries run a daily service between Circular Quay and Parramatta stopping at Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf. To travel to Sydney Showground, visitors must also catch a connecting bus.

Sydney Olympic Park is trialing a Rideshare Pickup Area for major events Good Things Sydney is yet to confirmed as trial event.
To get to the Rideshare Pickup Area in the P2 Car Park (Aquatic Centre car park), simply enter from the Edwin Flack Ave X Birnie Ave intersection side. Pass the boom gates and take a ticket. This entry will be free of charge if you arrive after the times listed below.
Riders will be guided to this pickup location by event staff, signage, and in-app directions.
Warning: Olympic Park has advised that police will issue fines for pickups that happen in No Stopping Zones, including Australia Ave. To avoid a possible fine and ensure an efficient pickup experience, please ensure you use the designated Rideshare Pickup Zone.
There is an array of easily accessible public transport options to Sydney Olympic Park but it's just as easy to drive to the venue.
Sydney Olympic Park is easily approached by road, with the M4, Victoria Road and Parramatta Road in close proximity.
Located in the geographical heart of greater Sydney, the Park is easily reached from any direction.
With the final stage of WestConnex, Rozelle Interchange now open, along with the M4 tunnel, the trip from the Sydney CBD to Sydney Showground is quicker than ever, taking around 20 minutes (16km).

Sydney Olympic Park has over 10,000 parking spaces site-wide. Carparks P1, P5 and P6 are in close proximity to Sydney Showground. Costs: $7 per hour, up to a maximum fee of $35 per day.
P1 is the closest parking to the Showground access
If you do drive to the Park, it is highly recommended to pre-book parking before your visit. The pre-book parking system closes at 11:59 pm the day before an event.

The Brisbane Showgrounds is conveniently located just 1.5km from the Brisbane CBD in Bowen Hills and 15 minutes from Brisbane Airport. During event periods the precinct may experience heavy traffic conditions, travelling by car is discouraged.
Bowen Hills & fortitude Valley train stations are less thana 10-15 minute walk from the Brisbane Showgrounds

Buses access the street surrounding Brisbane Showgrounds regularly. The main bus stops are located on Bowen Bridge outside The Old Museum and on St Pauls Terrace near King Street. The City Glider Buses also provide high frequency transport from West End to Teneriffe and Ashgrove to Stones Corner.
Patrons can alternatively utilise the bus service to RBWH station in Herston and then make the short walk to the Entry Gate 02 located off O’Connell Terrace.

Patrons arriving via train from Bowen Hills Station, via Bus from RBWH station, foot, and or vehicle and parking will enter via the alternate secondary entry point. These patrons will enter the event site via Entry Gate 02 located off O’Connell Terrace adjacent to the LAP carpark Gate 5.
